Delicious and Creamy Cheese Stuffed Shells
Cheese Stuffed Shells, a classic Italian-American dish, is a comforting and delightful treat packed with a rich and creamy ricotta filling, smothered in a savory marinara sauce, and topped with a generous blanket of melted mozzarella cheese. Ingredients:
– 18-20 jumbo pasta shells
– 15 oz ricotta cheese
– 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 large egg
– 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped (optional)
– 24 oz marinara sauce
– 1 tsp dried basil
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta shells:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook them according to the package instructions, until just al dente. Do not overcook, as they will continue cooking in the oven.
3. Drain the shells and lay them out on a large baking sheet to cool slightly, making sure they do not stick together.
