– 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
– 1 bay leaf
– 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

8. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes over low heat until warmed through. Do not let the soup boil after adding the cream.

9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

10. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
