– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 3 tablespoons brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
– 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:

2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

5. Deglaze the skillet with bourbon, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
6. Add the orange juice, orange zest, chicken broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
9. Remove the skillet from the oven and place the chicken on a serving platter.
10. Mix the cornstarch with water to make a slurry, then add it to the skillet sauce. Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
11. Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
